Crafty Creatures by Jane Bull
Crafty Creatures by Jane Bull is a great sewing book for kids. Jane Bull has thought of many fun projects such as;
- How to make a Pony
- How to make a Giraffe
- How to make an Elephant
And more projects that I will write about soon.
I recommend you buy this book, it is a must-have in a sewing book collection.
Felties
For Christmas I got the Felties book which I had told you about earlier. As you may know already, this is
where the idea for the Polar Bear feltie originally comes from.
Felties: How to make 18 Cute and Fuzzy Friends by Nelly Pailloux is a really cute book. Some of the ideas require fine, small stitching so I recommend having those skills before you begin.
Also make sure you have plenty of felt as all of these projects are made from this material.
Folk Art Needlecraft
I have received a really cool sewing book from my friend Rosie { rosiepatcher.blogspot.com.au } and it has some great sewing ideas. However, most of these ideas are for experienced sewers so the projects in this book may not be appropriate for your sewing ability. When you are capable of neat, precise stitches and have some knowledge of sewing, you should definitely try these creative projects.

Sewing work books
Every sewer should have their own sewing book to place their ideas, samples and designs into.
I bought mine at Officeworks { http://www.officeworks.com.au } for $9.45. It has a hard cover with blank pages.
The other option is to buy a portfolio with plastic pockets, making it easier to keep your samples in.
Below is my sewing work book.
Kids' Crafternoon- Sewing
I recently borrowed a sewing book from my local library. I was thrilled to see so many new, fun ideas. Later, after I have completed some of these projects, I will do a post on them.
Sewing books
The one in the centre, Made by Me by Jane Bull, is a great book with creative ideas. Jane Bull has written many books, including several more craft books. If you want to find out more about her works, visit http://www.goodreads.com/author/list/56363.Jane_Bull .
Finally, the one on the right is Sew! by Cath Kidston. This book has a huge variety of sewing ideas which I really love.
